Doctor of Pharmacy (Pharm D)
Pharmacists can start their career in a limitless number of professional areas that range from community pharmacies, drug development, fundamental or applied research, biotechnology to areas such as forensic sciences, toxicology, regulatory affairs, clinical analysis, law enforcement (scientific police), bromatology, drug marketing, regulatory authorities, university teachers, executive managers (pharmaceutical and biotechnology companies and governmental institutions)etc.
Duration: Pharm D course shall be of six academic years (five years of study and one year of internship or residency) each academic year spread over a period of not less than two hundred working days. Sixth year involves posting in specialty units training students in pharmacy practice or clinical pharmacy services
Eligibility: Pharm.D: 10+2 examination with Physics and Chemistry as compulsory subjects along with one of the following subjects: Mathematics or Biology, Or A pass in D.Pharm; completed 17 years of age.Duration:

7.Pharmacy PracticeEligibility :
A candidate should have passed B.Pharm degree examination of RGUHS or B.Pharm examination of any recognized Indian University as established by law in India or should have completed any other degree courses in pharmacy recognized as equivalent by RGUHS University or Pharmacy Council of India,(PCI) and/or All India Council of Technical Education (A I.C.T.E,) for this purpose and should have secured not less than 50% of the maximum marks (aggregate of four years) prescribed for the qualifying examination. Then s/he shall be eligible for admission to the M.Pharm course.For SC / ST / Category-I (Karnataka) candidates must have a degree in B.PharmBachelor in Pharmacy
Candidates should have passed 10+2 examination with Physics and Chemistry as compulsory subjects along with one of the following - Mathematics / Computer Science / Biotechnology / Biology. Obtained at least 40% marks (35% in case of candidate belonging to reserved category) in the above subjects taken together. Candidates who have passed D.Pharm course approved by Pharmacy Council of India shall also be eligible to this course and can be admitted directly to II Year.Diploma in Pharmacy
Duration: 2 years + practical training of 500 hours spread over a period of not less than 3 months in a Govt. Hospital/Pharmacy, which is recognized by Pharmacy Council of India, New Delhi.
Eligibility: A pass in any of the following exam with Physics, Chemistry and Biology / Mathematics.
Doctor of Pharmacy – Post Baccalaureate (Pharm D - PB)
Duration: 3 years (two years of study and one year internship or residency)
Eligibility: A graduate in B. Pharm degree examination of Rajiv Gandhi University of Health Sciences or B. Pharm examination of any other recognized Indian University established by law in India. He may also have completed any other degree courses in Pharmacy recognized as equivalent by RGUHS and Pharmacy Council of India.Eligible candidates who may be of the capacity to join in the fourth year of Pharm.D course as lateral entry are allowed.
Third Year Post Baccalaureate: Internship or Residency Training
The students will dedicate one year for Internship or residency training including postings in specialty units. Student should provide the clinical pharmacy services under supervision of a preceptor to the allotted wards.Six months in General Medicine department, andtwo months each in three other specialty departments
Library : Each Institution has a well equipped and a comprehensive library, which offers students with all the reference material, they require for an in-depth understanding of their specific subjects. The library also subscribes for journals on the relevant subjects.
